'''Important:''' Blurring requires detection of objects by the model. For models that do not detect persons or other privacy-sensitive classes (e.g., logistics models), blurring will have no effect. In these cases, if privacy regulations apply, it is recommended to disable video recording.

Change History

  • VIS Version 26 SP 1 has completed the Beta tests and deployed to two installations as RC1 as of July, 3rd.
  • VIS Version 26 SP 1 has been published as 26.2857.1001 on August, 1st.

New Features

Row Sample Collector (RCS)

The Raw Sample Collector (RSC) feature has been introduced in VIS version 26 SP1 to improve detection model training. Unlike previous continuous video collection, RSC captures unmodified images only when a detection occurs, saving up to 1000 violation frames per vislet as JPEG files. These images are temporarily stored under $HOME/.config/vis/rsc_videos, then zipped and cleaned up automatically. RSC can be activated from the Visor camera tab and supports multiple vislets running in parallel. Only violations flagged for email notification are collected, using the should_email interpreter method to filter frames. Zip files are accessible via a download link in the Visor logs tab, with filenames sanitized and suffixed by the vislet display name. A log entry with event type ID 126 is created for each collection session.

Blurring

Starting with VIS version 26 SP1, blurring will be enabled by default on all Vislets for all detected classes to support privacy compliance. Blurring can be selectively disabled both on a per-vislet and per-class basis via configuration. The configuration settings and their values are logged at startup. Blurring is applied to the entire detection area in the video logs.

Important: Blurring requires detection of objects by the model. For models that do not detect persons or other privacy-sensitive classes (e.g., logistics models), blurring will have no effect. In these cases, if privacy regulations apply, it is recommended to disable video recording.

Other Improvements

  • Camera name has been added to the end of the video log file.

Bug Fixes

  • Bug-0041 Word ‘ihlal’ in notification subject has been removed
