KB-181859 Solution of the Video Problem

  • Fixes video writing causing out of memory errors
  • Enables VIS to record longer videos

Versions Applicable: v1.8 through v25

Installation instructions:

  • install ffmpegcv by running pip install ffmpegcv in the virtual environment
  • put the files in the attachment under vis/vis_core/emitter
  • restart the vis.service with the command: sudo systemctl restart vis
  • run journalctl -u vis -f -b -e to confirm VIS is working without any errors

Tested for version:

  • Version 22.1895.1041
  • Version 25.2541.1103
