Visor

To provide online monitoring, system and log access, and a region-drawing tool, VIS uses Visor—a web-based application that accompanies VIS.

Features

Online monitoring

By connecting to VIS, Visor accesses all active Vislets and displays their live feeds. Users can toggle Vislets on or off for viewing.

Caution

Long-term live monitoring, especially over slow networks like WiFi or GSM, may cause the Vislet pipeline to stall and eventually terminate the Vislet.

Logs

Visor is the tool for managing system and event logs. It enables users to filter logs by type or time interval and to view associated log videos.

Region drawing

Region definitions were moved to configuration files starting with VIS version 25. Before that, Visor was used to both define and draw regions. Now, users define regions in the Configuration Manager and use Visor only to draw them over images from the live feed.
