VIS V28 SP1
V28 Service Pack 1 has been published on 8th of June 2026 as 28.3016.1514 and introduces two major updates and some bug fixes.
Detector support for segmentation
Segmentation was introduced first to support Sling Safety Add-on of Crane Safety AI and was implemented in the interpreter. With this update, this feature has been integrated into the core libraries of VIS by being moved from interpreter to the core. This update will allow deployments with segmentation detector to be updated without interpreter compatibility issues and benefit from all future releases.
Major changes in IPIO communication structure
IPIO logs were displaying many disconnection records which in general take less than a second (minimum log time stamp). Root cause of these logs and disconnections has been identified and eliminated. IPIO Library and IO controller classes have also been refactored to eliminate redundant log records. Reconnection mechanism has been improved.

Applications
V28 SP1 also includes a new version of Config Manager with version number 1.3019.1109. This version fixes the Bug-0071 and is compatible with V28 SP1.
